Newsletter Advertising Information

All ads must be renewed and paid for each month.

Commercial membership includes a business card ad (1/8 page) each month for a year. If you are not a member and want to join, click here: How to Join

Mailing your hard copy ad with payment

To place an ad in our monthly newsletter, you can mail it to:

For faster and more accurate service, you can send us the text of the ad in an email message or attach a JPG image. Send to Julien Mercier, Newsletter Editor at: birdnewsletter@aol.com

Monthly Publication Deadline

The newsletter advertising deadline is the 15th day of each month for publication in the following month's newsletter. Hard copy ads that are just text will be retyped into the newsletter.

Graphic Format Requirements

Hard copy ads that contain graphics may need to be scanned. Allow at least an extra week if submitting ads that must be scanned. Ads submitted in unsupported formats that will not be converted. Supported Ad graphic formats are JPG, EPS or GIFThe club does not guarantee support of all types of computer file formats, sending plain text is best. To preserve formatting, send as RTF or Microsoft Word document. For ads containing graphics, JPG is preferred.

Newsletter Ads are Black and White only

The newsletter is printed black and white, so any color ads will be printed in greyscale. It is best to submit as b/w so you will see how the ad will look when published.

The club reserves the right to refuse an ad. If the newsletter editor feels an ad may be inappropriate, the club board will be consulted before the ad is rejected.

Payment

If paying for your newsletter ad by mail, include your first and last name and daytime phone number with area code so we can contact you if we have questions about your ad. Mail your info, including a copy of your Ad and payment by check or money order to us at Santa Clara Bird Club PO Box 3466 Santa Clara,CA 95055-3466
